Some of the health workers at the hospital are even under pressure from their families to resign their appointments with the establishment.

Lagos State Govt warns TB Joshua to avoid welcoming Ebola Victims

The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Jide Idris and other government officials has visited Pastor TB.Joshua’s Synagogue to advice them against opening their doors to people from West African countries with the disease.
Mr. Idris said; “We have our strategies that we intend to share with you. Again, we need to know the resources you have here because whether it is one or two cases, if they are allowed to get out, it is a major problem. We are here to work together on how to contain this disease.”

Ebola Virus hits Lagos; Two people have already contacted the disease, Chai!

Today Saturday 2nd August 2014; The Lagos State Government confirmed that two persons among those who had contacts with Mr. Patrick Sawyer, the dead Liberian Ebola victim, had manifested symptoms of the fever. The Commissioner for Health, Dr Jide Idris, made the disclosure when he addressed newsmen on the update of the country‘s first Ebola case in Ikeja.
