A female suicide bomber said to be about 10 years old blew herself up killing at least 10 others at the popular Maiduguri poultry market in Borno state around 12.30pm today. A military source who confirmed the explosion said the little girl strapped herself with explosives that were so heavy that after it exploded, flung her body 500m away from the scene. Mr. Familola Ayodeji, 25 years old young man from Ido-Ekiti, in Ekiti State (pictured above) has been arrested by the state Police command for raping a “great grandmother” who is “85 year old” on 25th December, 2014. BBC has reported that over 2000 people may have been killed by Boko Haram militants in a fresh attack on Baga town in Borno state yesterday January 7th. A state official in Borno state, Musa Alhaji Bukar told BBC that bodies lay scattered on Baga streets and that the whole town has been destroyed. Protesters have being destroying government buses in Edo State, over the demolition of 16 official quarters of the employees of University of Benin by the Edo State Government. The suspected students of the university were said to have set the “Comrade Bus” ablaze, plus another bus vandalised by the protesters, which they then used to barricade the Benin-Lagos Expressway, leaving motorists stranded for several hours.
