Woman arrested for burying one-day-old baby alive!
Patience Aaron, an indigene of Afaha Abia village, in the Nsit Ibom part of Akwa Ibom State, was arrested by the State Police Command on September 14, 2014. for attempting to murder her one-day-old baby alive. Mr. Gabriel Achong, the State Commissioner of Police, said in a press conference in Uyo on Thursday that the baby was “rescued alive,” nearly five hours after she had been buried, in a shallow grave.
The command also arrested 36 others for various offences, ranging from murder to foiled armed robbery and recovery of N8.9m between the months of August and September.
The Commissioner also said that investigation is in progress.
