CNN Being Sued After Correspondent Arwa Damon Reportedly Bit an EMT While Drunk in Baghdad
American cable and satellite television channel (CNN) owned by the Turner Broadcasting System division of Time Warner, is being sued a whooping amount of $1 million following an incident that led to an EMT who claims one of the network’s correspondents bit her while drunk and seeking medical assistance.
According to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, EMT Tracy Lamar claims that Arwa Damon, a Beirut-based Senior International Correspondent, was in the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad last month when she became “seriously intoxicated” and “unruly and violent.”
When authorities arrived, Lamar was reportedly trying to help Damon when the correspondent bit her on the left arm. TMZ reports the suit claims that while being provided medical assistance, Damon declared she was a “major reporter for CNN.”
In a statement, a CNN spokesperson said: “We are not aware of the alleged lawsuit and therefore have no comment.”
